The City of Escondido offers a wide variety of outdoor recreational opportunities. These include camping, fishing, picnicking, hiking, mountain biking, and boating, just to name a few. The City maintains a number of different facilities, including Dixon Lake, Lake Wohlford, Daley Ranch, and nine urban park facilities. Each facility provides users with a multitude of unique resources.

 The definition of "student" once was "one who studies something". Today it can mean merely "one who attends a school, college or university". This modern definition doesn't even suggest that the person does more than "attend". College and university professors still use the first definition, and schools have ways (such as requirements, exams and grades) to attempt to ensure that those who attend will also study and learn something.

I've been thinking about those things... there are many things I'd change in my classes. I'm a bit disappointed.

Humility

However much one knows, one must realize there's a lot more to be learned, and that some of what one `knows' may turn out to be wrong. For this reason intellectual arrogance is unbecoming an educated person. Knowing lots of things is good, but knowing the limitations of one's knowledge is essential to using it properly. Many of the classic errors of history were made by people over-confidently going beyond what they knew and understood.

A Definition of Art

Because art is comparable to a folder rather than a file, its definition is subjective. It is determined by individual fiat. It will be whatever you wish to put into its folder.

 I give it my personal definition...

Art is anything that people add to their 'output' which is not functionally necessary and is other han the default properties of that output.

Example: The default leg of a chair (output) may be a long rectangular square. If its maker tapers the ends for no other reason than personal aesthetic preference, that tapering is art. If he tapers it for a functional (mechanical) reason it is part of 'engineering design' and not art. If he makes the leg round as on a lathe it may or may not be an artistic decision.
If for looks - artistic.
If to make it less likely to splinter or cause stubbed toe injuries, etc. it is engineering design.

Design based courses are offered in a huge range of disciplines from craft based areas such as Furniture Design, Ceramics, Textile Design, Silversmithing and Jewellery, Fashion, Graphic Design and Product and Automotive Design, to areas such as design for Multi Media and the electronic environment, including digital graphics and animation. There are also courses ranging from those in traditional disciplines such as Painting, Sculpture and Printing, through courses concerned with Performance and Installation, and those which relate to lens-based and electronic media. I guess these thing very interesting!!! It's a pitty I have to choose just one of them...
